Dallas Clark was born in Greensboro, North Carolina, on June 6, 1943. He was in the United States Marine Corps from 1968-1971, rising to the rank of Captain. He was certified as a military trial counsel, served as chief trial counsel of the 3rd Marine Division, was certified as a Special Courts-Martial Military Judge, and was Assistant Staff Judge Advocate for the Marine Corps Air Station in Cherry Point, North Carolina.
